I used to spend a lot of time on my hair, and sometime since then I've become a 'wash and wear' girl. Braids are becoming popular again, and I've been collecting pictures.
And then there's this fun look:
I have tried this. let's just say I need more practice! I have really thick hair and mine turned out more like Princess Leia than they were supposed to...
Gorgeous pics and thanks for including me!
ReplyDeleteIf your hair is really long and/or thick, you could try this to achieve the buns instead -
* section your hair at the nape of your neck into 4/5 sections and secure with elastics
* plait each section.
* wind each section up into a bun
I think this would look gorgeous and I'd leave it a little messy so it doesn't look too Heidi. Make it more bohemian instead.
Let me know how you go!
I love this because my daughters and I have long adored all kinds of braids. It sure can even make a simple ponytail look elegant. When I was working, I'd put my hair in a ponytail, braid it, then wrap it for an elegant "up do." Still, I love the simple side braid, but these are so lovely!!! Great sharing post!
