Ok, so I'm not loving the new blog design. I'm not sure where to go next, but I'm going to ruminate over it a little. Something better will come about, I promise.
This last weekend, BL and I registered at a few stores. It went so well. Seriously. Pish, posh you people who say that wedding registries bring fights and arguments. I didn't get everything I wanted, and BL didn't get everything he wanted, but we both left the stores feeling happy I think. I did let BL do the scanning. He took out any aggravation by pretending to zap me with the scanner. boys will be boys.
Photo from friend's wedding.
Next up is choosing a photographer. Not sure how to go about it, but right now I'm wading through the options I've found. I guess I'll contact a few and see if they'd like to meet with us? Does anyone have any experience or advice to share in choosing a wedding photographer?
I hope your Tuesdays are all going grand!
P.S. after 3 migraines in a row last week I got some blood work done, and found out I need another increase in Synthroid... hope it helps!!
Every so often I get the itch to move around my furniture at home, rearrange my desk at work, clean out the pantry... and re-design my blog!
The last couple of weeks have been busy with lots of fun things:
-getting ready to move into a new apartment
-starting wedding plans
-traveling
-eating healthy and exersizing again
So posting here has been put on the back burner. I don't get too worried when that happens. I'm more of an ebb and flow type of blogger. I hope you all will forgive that about me!
I'm feeling the need for change, and you may see some weird stuff on the blog in the next day or so... Just a heads up in case you wonder what's going on...
I'm in a re-arranging, re-organizing, changing mood. Last night as I went to sleep I planned to re-arrange my bedroom. This morning I woke up thinking about a new blog design. I'm addicted to small, fresh changes around me.
So, what do you think of my options?

So what do you think?? I would love to hear which one you like best!
Recently Blogger updated their design tool and something they changed made my layout change too. When I tried to fix it, I realized there were too many problems with my code. So I decided to start fresh. I like change, and it's been fun playing with the new design tool. I'm not sure what I'm going to settle on, but here are some of the options I like so far:
I'm getting my own place in March or April and I've been collecting decorating ideas for awhile now. I've always loved mixing and matching styles and I am so excited to have a place all my own to play in. I'm making a scrapblog with all of my ideas, but I though I'd share some of them here too. I read so many blogs and see so many things that inspire me, so I don't have all of the sources. (sorry, friends!) I will try and keep better track of where I am finding these things.
#1 This white dresser makes me smile because of the way it's paired with the lamp, bird figurine and *of course* the vase of daffodils. I have a vase that looks just like this lamp base, which I adore. I wonder if I could turn it into a lamp?
#2 This picture is from Better Homes and Gardens. And believe it or not, there is a small tv behind the curtains on this shelving unit. It used to be one of those ugly particle board entertainment units, and now it's an adoreable piece of furniture! I just need to find an ugly entertainment center at a thrift store or a garage sale...
#3 This picture is from Better Homes and Gardens, in a slideshow on bhg.com called "hand me down living room." What I love about it is how bright and homey it feels. I'm planning on buying a long couch and I think I'm going to look for one this color. I'm really drawn to Creams, Browns and Tans in the living room. It makes it really easy to throw in bright spots of color and to change them often. My bedroom furniture is black and white, so it would be nice to have browns in another room.
#4 I have a few empty picture frames, so I'm on my way to getting this layered look. The middle one in this picture is really pretty. Mine are painted black and brown right now, but I'm thinking I might like to paint them white. White, bright and cheerful is the look I want. This picture is from the blog, fairehoure.
I've tried a lot of blog designs- some are cute, sophisticated or simple and others are cluttered looking. Right now I'm using the mima template with some simple html changes. But I delight in change, so it won't stay this way forever! Next time I want something more exciting than the white background, I think I'll try one of Aqua Poppy's designs. Check out Chelsea's colorful blog designs!
I don't think I have a favorite, because there are so many I would love to use on my blog. They are all simple, and follow a lot of the trends in blogging right now.
